2026/27 Season Tryouts

Players born in 2019-Aug 1, 2007 are eligible to tryout for our club for the 2026/27 season.
All teams are formed using the new USYSA age brackets Aug 1 – July 31
Tryouts are hosted on two days at each age group.

NEW AGE RANGES - 26/27 SEASON

US Youth Soccer has announced updates to age group cutoff dates beginning with the 2026/27 season.

The new cutoff dates will be in effect for our 2026/27 WFC Rangers tryouts & season.

Players are expected to try out within their proper age group, play-up tryouts only by staff invitation.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT TRYOUTS

Each age group will host two tryout dates. Arrive early to check in for tryouts & we will assign every player a numbered bib.

Tryouts will consist of small sided scrimmages with coaches & directors evaluating from the sidelines. Coaches will move players throughout the session to and from different teams & fields to aid in a thorough evaluation of each player.
Team Selection Process

At the conclusion of the 2nd tryout, the technical staff and age group coaches will collaborate to determine the best placement for each player as we form our teams for the upcoming season.

The WFC Ranger staff is committed to a continuous evaluation process for returning Ranger players. Returning players evaluation will not be exclusively based on two tryouts.

Why it says “Team Registration” for tryout registration

To keep everything in one simple process. Instead of registering once for tryouts and again after selections, players sign up just once. After teams are formed, we assign players to their team and communicate results directly to each group.
