Jason Conway Named Executive Director
Whatcom FC Rangers Board of Directors are proud to kick off 2020 with the hiring of Jason Conway as the new Executive Director.
“We are happy to have an experienced leader in charge and someone who cares deeply about the families of the Whatcom FC Ranger program,” President Adam Sherwood announces on behalf of the Ranger Board of Directors. “We look forward to working with Jason in the future to help him create a holistic and inclusive environment for all players of Whatcom County.”

Jason has been a Whatcom FC Rangers club coach for 23 years and interim Director of Coaching three times in the past. He moved to the United States from Ireland in 1992 temporarily and then permanently in 1996. He has worked as a leader of business in our community for the last 23 years and hopes to bring the knowledge of both of these environments to the job. Jason is in his third year as the head coach of Bellingham United and he looks forward to having a pathway for players wanting to continue playing after High school is over. He feels Bellingham United offers a perfect fit for WFC Ranger players who want to pursue playing at a higher level as adults.
“I am truly honored to lead our extraordinary club here in Whatcom County.” said Conway. “I look forward to working closely with our exceptional families, our board of directors, and our coaching staff to elevate our members and our communities club soccer experience.”
Jason succeeds Derrick Ayers who departed our club last year after three years serving as the clubs Technical Director. As the new face of the club, the newly titled Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the club. His responsibilities will include enhancing communication, guiding player development strategies, organizing and developing the coaching staff, and lead the day to day club operations.
